Chevrolet Suburban Tailgate Handle Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How do you remove a tailgate handle and Tailgate Latch on Chevrolet Suburban?
A: To remove the tailgate handle, start by removing the handle mounting bolts from the bedside. Then, carefully pry or pull off the handle trim cover. Next, rotate the plastic retaining clips off the control rods and detach the rods from the handle. After that, remove the latch mounting bolts and withdraw the latch from the end of the tailgate. If equipped, detach any linkage to the lock cylinder. To reinstall, simply reverse the removal steps and tighten all fasteners securely.
