Chevrolet Suburban Spark Plug
Spark Plug of Chevrolet Suburban vehicles is one of the most crucial parts that provides the spark to fire the fuel/air mixture in the combustion chamber of the vehicle's engine. As a receiver of an electric current from the ignition system, the main function of the Spark Plug is to initiate the burning process. Many designs and types of threads of spark plugs with different heat and thread ratings have been fitted on Suburban vehicles up to date with each model and type having a specific material and construction depending on the application it is meant to serve. The proper functioning of the Spark Plug can never be underestimated because worn electrodes and build-up of carbon will result to misfires and loss in engines' power. Periodic examination and proper substitution of the Spark Plugs with similar products can greatly affect the welfare and performance of a Chevrolet Suburban car.
Each OEM Chevrolet Suburban Spark Plug we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.
Chevrolet Suburban Spark Plug Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the spark plugs in your Chevrolet Avalanche,Silverado,Suburban,Tahoe,GMC Sierra,Yukon,Yukon Denali and Yukon XL?
A: To change the spark plugs in your vehicle, you will need some important tools like a ratchet, socket for spark plug, various extensions and gap gauge appropriate for gap adjustment. Though a specific plug wire removal tool is available, it is not required. Ensure you have a torque wrench to fit the new spark plugs tightly. The first step involves allowing the engine to cool off completely and then checking the new plugs for any defect as well as making sure that their gaps are adjusted using a gap gauge if necessary. The gap must match with the specification on Emissions Control Information Label. Remove one spark plug wire at a time by only holding and pulling on its rubber boot or by using the plug wire removal tool if needed. If there is compressed air available, blow out any debris around the spark plug hole to avoid contamination. A spark plug socket has to be used to remove the old spark plug turning it counterclockwise. Reviewing the old spark plugs helps determine an engine's state of affairs. Thinly coat threads of new plugs with anti-seize compound before installing them. Using your hands screw in a new one until it becomes impossible to turn any further then tighten using a torque wrench or ratchet. In situations where reaching plugs poses difficulty use short lengths of rubber tubing as threading tools. Lastly, connect each wire from the plug wires by twisting and then turn until it is locked into place and repeat this process moving on to another one at a time so that none of these wires get mixed up.
