Remove the fuel pump/Fuel Level Sensor, taking care not to damage the fuel inlet strainer or the Fuel Level Sensor float arm and float. For installation, inspect and replace the pump-to-tank seal if necessary, and ensure the fuel pump inlet strainer is clean. Carefully align and insert the fuel pump/Fuel Level Sensor module into the tank, avoiding damage to the strainer, float arm, or float. Finally, reconnect the battery and allow the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to relearn its former driveability and performance characteristics.
