First of all, begin with the separation of the negative terminal of the battery and the taking out of the spark plug. You should also turn the crankshaft during installation to ensure that it is not very rigid when the engine is started. For 2015 and earlier models, the camshaft sprockets should be slid on the camshafts, then the RTV sealant should be applied and the timing chain and tensioner should be fitted with all the fasteners tightened to the prescribed torque. When working with the 2016 and later models put the timing chain with the sprockets on then place the tensioner and guides in place then make sure all the timing marks line up. Lastly, fit the timing chain cover, the valve cover, replace the oil filter, fill the crankcase and the cooling system, reconnect the battery and start the engine and check for any sign of leakage.
