Q: How do you assemble the radio control and remove various speakers on Chevrolet Cruze?
A: Since, the radio control is access through this area - the center trim panel, the vent assembly and the instrument panel accessory bezel are to be removed first. Next you have to unscrew the radio control assembly mounting screws followed by pulling the controller from dash and lifting on the illustrated connectors. As for the connector for the driver's information display bezel, unscrew it and loosen its electrical connector. For 2015 and earlier models, there are radio mounting screws to be removed, taking out the radio and cutting all connections of the antenna cable, electrical connectors, and ground strap. Installation proceeds in the opposite manner. As for the models made in 2016 or later, to get to the radio receiver, one has to take away the trunk or rear compartment right side trim panel, then to undo the electrical connectors of the radio receiver, unclip it from its mounting bracket and then take out of the car, while the installation process is the reverse of the above mentioned procedure. For the A-pillar speakers, one has to take off the trim panel, then disconnect the electrical connector, and gently but firmly pull the speaker out of the mounting bracket. For instrument panel corner speakers, use a small pry tool to release the foliage, turn the appropriate screws, take out the bolts, push away the Instrument panel corner speakers, disconnect the connector of the speaker and take away the speaker. For center speaker, grille must be lifted and removed, electrical connector of headlight automatic control light sensor has to be disconnected, fasteners of the center speaker has to be removed and the speaker must be lifted and the electrical connector has to be disconnected. For door speakers, the door trim panel should be unbolted, the mounting screw should be unscrewed, the speaker should be pulled up and the electrical connector should be disconnected. For rear speakers to be observed that not all models come with them; for 2015 and earlier models the rear package tray has to be removed and then the screws holding the speakers on has to be taken out and the housing pulled off and the electrical connector disconnected. On 2016 and later models, to remove the speaker, you have to first remove the rear carpet and floor panel, take out the speaker mounting bolts, then lift the speaker from the rear floor compartment, disconnect the electrical connectors and then remove the speaker, to install, reverse the process.
