To remove the remote CD player: 1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. 2. Access the fuse box and remove the RDO/CD fuse. 3. Take out the rear center section access panel. 4. Expose the mounting bolts, disconnect electrical connectors, and remove the screws securing the CD player. 5. Finally, take it out along with the brackets, with installation being the reverse of removal.

After removing the control unit, the radio mounting screws can be removed and the radio can be pulled from the instrument panel.

The upper speaker panel needs to be pulled off, starting at the top, and lifted to slide the lower tabs out of the door panel. Then, the electrical connector can be disconnected and the speaker can be twisted to remove it from the panel.
