How do you replace the camshaft position sensors on Chevrolet Cruze?

For the 1.4L engine, camshaft position sensors are located at the right side of the timing chain cover for models before 2015 and at both sides of the valve cover at front for models from 2016. It is very easy to replace the sensor, and to do so, one has to remove the electrical connector of the sensor, remove the retaining bolt, and take out the sensor and the O-ring together. To reinstall, one has to reverse the process of the removal but it is advisable to lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil before the process. For the 1.8L engine, the two camshaft position sensors are positioned on the back side of the cylinder head; the intake camshaft position sensor is closer to the firewall while the exhaust is closer to the radiator. This should be done by starting with the turning off the ignition key followed by the dropping of the electrical connector both CMP sensors. Then come out the retaining bolt and gradually eject the CMP sensors out. To install it, put it back in reverse order of how it was removed, apply clean engine oil to O-ring and then torque the bolt of the CMP sensor firmly.
