  • Q: Where is the back-up light switch located and how do you access it?
A: The left front wheel lug nuts should be first loosened to access the backup light switch which is located above the left side drive axle. Then, you will need to lift the front of the vehicle, loosen the right-hand wheel nuts and support it securely on jackstands. Disconnect the electrical connector from back-up light switch after taking off the left front wheel. Unscrew it from its case and remove the gasket. The switch has to be removed by using a socket or box-end wrench so that it does not round off corners. After taking out switch, clean threads and apply sealant before screwing back in and tightening securely. Once you reconnect electrical connector, check that operation of back-up lights indicates that switch is installed correctly.
