Start by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal to remove and replace a switch in a vehicle. The next step is removing either the trim panel or instrument cluster bezel, then disconnecting the electrical connector. Thereafter, unscrew it and lift up the switch housing from the trim panel or cluster bezels.
