Chevrolet Blazer Clutch Slave Cylinder

Chevrolet Blazer have a part known as the Clutch Slave Cylinder that complements the clutch master cylinder whenever the clutch pedal is depressed to release the clutch so that gear shifting can be effected. This hydraulic component delivers pressure from the master cylinder outwards; it has a rod that pulls to release the clutch. As you may want to notice, any problems with the clutch slave cylinder lead to unsafe shifting of gears and at the same time may cause significant damage to the transmission, so any variations in the indicated part are quite necessary for normal driving of vehicles and their safety. The clutch system's master cylinder amplifies the force provided by the driver and hydraulic pressure over the slave cylinder to disengage the clutch to enable gear changes.

Each OEM Chevrolet Blazer Clutch Slave Cylinder we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

Chevrolet Blazer Clutch Slave Cylinder Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How do you remove and install the Slave Cylinder on Chevrolet Blazer,S10,GMC Jimmy and Sonoma?
A: To disconnect the retainer clip from the clutch slave cylinder pushrod, ensuring the Clutch Slave Cylinder is not damaged when the clutch pedal is depressed, start by raising the vehicle and securely supporting it on jackstands. For 1994 and 1995 models, disconnect the hydraulic line from the Clutch Slave Cylinder by removing the cotter pin and pulling the line straight off its fitting. Then, remove the two Clutch Slave Cylinder mounting nuts and detach the Clutch Slave Cylinder. Install the Clutch Slave Cylinder on the clutch housing, ensuring the pushrod is seated in the release lever pocket. Connect the hydraulic line to the Clutch Slave Cylinder and secure it with a new cotter pin. For 1996 and later models, removal involves removing the transmission and the two Clutch Slave Cylinder retaining bolts. Slide the Clutch Slave Cylinder off the transmission input shaft and inspect the Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate assembly while the transmission is removed. Replace as necessary. Clean off the transmission input shaft and coat it with multi-purpose grease. Slide the new Clutch Slave Cylinder onto the input shaft, install the retaining bolts, and tighten them to the specified torque. Finally, install the transmission, fill the clutch fluid reservoir with the recommended fluid, bleed the clutch hydraulic system, and lower the vehicle by removing the jackstands.
