Chevrolet Beretta Shock Absorber

The Shock Absorber is a part of Chevrolet Beretta car suspension system that's meant to reduce up and down head bouncing and therefore improve the cars' quality of ride. Through transforming kinetic energy into heat through the hydraulic system, the Shock Absorber reduces the intensity of shock impulses thus improving handling on the rocky. Manufacturers of this Chevrolet Beretta model have used different Shock Absorbers through the years, for instance twin-tube and mono-tube shock absorbers. The twin-tube shocks are often observed and they can also be single or twin tube and also alert and compact, twin-tube shocks can also be gas charged for durability. On the other hand, there are other shocks that are much better and preferred for their heat sink and performance including mono-tube shocks callable for multi-orientation. Additional features such as the Position Sensitive Damping (PSD) and Acceleration Sensitive Damping (ASD) takes the handling to another level by adding to specific environments, which demonstrates the improvement of the suspension of the Chevrolet Beretta model.

Each OEM Chevrolet Beretta Shock Absorber we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

Chevrolet Beretta Shock Absorber Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: What precautions should be taken when removing rear shock absorbers on Chevrolet Beretta?
A: The movement of the rear suspension is limited and pulling both shock absorbers off at the same time can damage the brake hoses and lines if the suspension is left hanging. Start with the removal of the wheel lug nuts, lifting the back part of the car, applying the jackstands and placing blocks on the front tires. Subsequently, take out the wheel to lean the trailing arm on a jack before eradicating the lower end shock absorber nut. Locate the trunk upper shock mount by opening the trunk and pulling a side trim panel; remove the plastic cap. Take out the damper shaft to upper mount nut to separate the shock absorber from the car for evaluating the conditions of the upper mount such as crack, hardening, separation etc. If there are any of them, then it will be necessary to free the mount from the fender well by turning the two screws-threaded nuts. Last, installation is just the opposite of the removal process explained above and is done in the similar way.
