- Q: How to remove and install the standard front speaker on a Cadillac ElDorado and Fleetwood?A: To remove and install the standard front speaker on a 1990-93 Deville and Fleetwood, disconnect the negative battery cable firstly. Then, take off the screws in the defroster grille and the A/C outlets. Next, remove the upper trim pad of the instrument panel and detach the aspirator tube and wiring connector from the in-vehicle temperature sensor. Take out the speaker assembly by unscrewing it from its flange. Detach the wiring connector then remove the speaker. Installation is just reversal of removal. Disconnect negative battery cable to standard front door speaker hence removing door panel can be done. Then after you need to unplug speaker-to-housing retaining screws as well as separate them from their speaker wiring connector. Reverse this process in order to install it through reinstallation. To disconnect negative battery cable and remove door panel for 1990-91 Eldorado and Seville. Remove speaker mounting screws when wires are detached from their connectors. Remove speakers and insert back reversing removal procedure again . Disconnecting of negative battery cable is followed by removal of door panel for Delco/Bose front door speaker.
