How to remove and install Headlight Switch in Cadillac ElDorado and Fleetwood?

Disconnect the negative battery cable. For Deville and Fleetwood, remove the instrument panel trim plates as follows: On 1990-91 vehicles, remove the right and left sound insulators and snap out the upper steering column filler panel. Remove the lower steering column filler panel. Remove the screws from the tops of the trim plates and remove the left and right trim plates. Unscrew the screws at the bottom of the center trim plate and remove the trim plate. Remove the switch retaining screws and detach the electrical connector. Remove the knob and bezel from the switch. To install, the installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Tighten the switch screws to 13 inch lbs.(1.5 Nm). For Eldorado and Seville 1990-91 models, disconnect the negative battery cable. Make sure all switches on the switch module are OFF. Remove the instrument cluster trim plate as follows: Remove the left side A/C vent. Remove the radio trim plate. Remove the retaining screws and the trim plate. Remove the 2 retaining screws and pull the switch module out of the electrical connectors in the instrument cluster. To install, the installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. For 1992-98 models, disconnect the negative battery cable. Firmly pull outward on the headlight switch knob to remove the switch module from the instrument panel. Detach the electrical connector and remove the switch. To install, the installation is the reverse of removal.
