A: Loosen the front wheel lug nuts and the driveaxle/hub nut. Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the wheel. Remove the driveaxle(s). Pry out the seal and remove it from the transaxle housing using a seal removal tool. Compare the new seal to the old one to make sure they're the same. Coat the lips of the new seal with transaxle fluid. Place the new seal in position and lap it into the bore with a hammer and a large socket or a piece of pipe that's the same diameter as the outside edge of the seal. Tap the new seal into place using a large socket or section of pipe and hammer-use a socket or section of pipe with a diameter slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the seal itself. The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal.
