In order to remove the steering column there are several methods by following the wheel straight and then disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Following this, you need to take off the
Steering Wheel, and the covers of the steering column, before you tape the airbag clockspring so that it cannot rotate, as doing this may harm it. That is followed by the removal of the knee bolster trim panel and knee bolster. Continue and eradicate the intermediate shaft upper bolt and separate the steering shaft from the steering column. Remove the electrical connectors for the multi-function stick, also the steering column mounting bolts. Shift the column down and back, being very careful no wires remain connected before you extract it. For installation, to position the steering column you must slide it with the U-joint fitting into the bottom of the steering shaft, and bolt the steering column to the vehicle. Screw the new intermediate shaft bolt and engage the U-joint to the intermediate shaft tightening the bolt nut to the prescribed force. The rest of the installation process is a mirror image of the removal process that was described previous.
