Remove the tie rod by first loosening the lug nuts of the wheel and lifting the front section of the car. Firmly place it on jack stands, block behind wheels, and put on a parking brake. Take off the front tire. Hold pliers or wrench around a tie rod and loosen small nut enough to mark where end of a tie rod is relating to threads. Get rid of cotter pin and unscrew end nut on a tie rod stud. Remove puller attached for separating connecting arm with steering knuckle from a tie rod, unscrew its nut that holds it together. For installing this part, spin on an ending of threaded rod into that marking & insert stud portion into linkage's adjustable joint area of knuckle. Ensure that jam nut is very tight. Place castle nut over it & tighten according to specifications.Use new cotter pin.Put 3 turns more onto ball joint screw in order for hole inside ball screws matches up correctly with slots inside nuts without loosing such nuts. Put back wheel assembly and use lug nuts to secure it properly then lower vehicle until tyres make contact with ground then retighten each lug as per torque specs listed above.Finally have alignment looked at if necessary.

Hold the tie-rod with a pair of locking pliers or wrench and loosen the jam nut enough to mark the position of the tie-rod end in relation to the threads. Loosen the nut from the tie-rod end ball-stud about 1/8-inch.
