    Q:
How do you remove the radiator on Chevrolet Cobalt,HHR,Saturn ION and Pontiac G5? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the radiator, begin by disconnecting the negative battery terminal and raising the vehicle on jackstands. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator and drain the cooling system. Remove the cooling fan(s) and shroud assembly, and on automatic transaxle models, remove the left fender well liner and disconnect the transaxle oil cooler lines from the radiator. Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses. Remove the bolts in each lower radiator mounting bracket and the condenser mounting bolts, and pull the condenser down slightly to disengage it from the radiator brackets. Remove the bolts securing the intercooler and pull it downward to disengage the clips at the radiator. Carefully lower the radiator until its pins are free at the top, then remove the radiator. For HHR models, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and remove the air filter housing/engine cover assembly. Drain the cooling system and remove the hood latch, radiator support brackets, and radiator cover. Lift the cooling fan and shroud assembly off of the radiator and set it aside. On automatic transaxle models, disconnect the transaxle oil cooler lines from the radiator, disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses and push the retaining tabs in to release the condenser from the radiator and place the condenser aside. Lift the radiator out, with the insulators remaining in place and clean the radiator and inspect it for leaks and damage. To install the radiator, inspect the rubber insulators and ensure they're clean and in good condition. Installation is the reverse of removal.

What steps should be taken after removing the radiator on the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt? Posted by Customer
    A:

When installing the radiator, follow the reverse of the removal procedure, fill the cooling system with the correct mixture of antifreeze and water, reconnect the battery, check for leaks, and add fluid if necessary for automatic transaxle-equipped vehicles.
