- A:Get the recommended tubing and correct fitting nuts. Cut tubing to length, ensuring fittings are pre-installed. Deburr and chamfer the pipe's edges. Clean the pipe and flaring tool. Secure the flaring tool in a vise. Choose the right collet and mandrel. Slide the clamping nut over the brake line into the collet. Tighten the clamping nut, then tighten the forcing screw.
