Remove the shifter knob from the shifter by removing the retaining screw at the back of the knob. Remove the screws at the sides and front of the center console. Open the center console box and remove the retaining screw inside the box. Remove the electrical connectors for the ashtray light (if supplied) and lighter. Remove the ashtray at the rear of the center console and remove the retaining screw behind the ashtray. Remove the power seat control (if supplied). Slide the upper center console from its position, then disconnect the courtesy light. Remove the screws holding the lower center console into place, then slide the center console rearward slightly and remove. Install the lower center console by attaching the mounting screws, tighten them to 54 inch lbs. (6 Nm). Connect the electrical harness to the courtesy light. Attach the upper center console with the mounting screws in the front. Connect the electrical harness to the ashtray light and lighter. Insert the power seat control into the center console, then attach the trim center console plate. On column shift, install the center compartment. On center console shift, attach the electrical harness to the shifter light, then attach the shifter trim plate. Mount the two screws at the rear of the center compartment or the shifter trim plate. Tighten the two screws belonging in the ashtray opening. On vehicles with shift center console, screw on the shifter knob, then install the snap ring holding the shift knob. Install the ashtray, then install the armrest compartment.
