    Q:
How to disconnect and remove the MAF sensor from the air filter housing cover? Posted by Customer
    A:
Loosen the hose clamp screw to disconnect the MAF sensor from the air filter housing cover and carefully separate the MAF sensor from the cover. Loosen the hose clamp screw to disengage the MAF sensor from the air intake duct, and then make sure that it is carefully separated from the intakes. These arrows show you where to attach it into your cars when you are installing them, should they face towards or away from intakes? Additionally, these arrows must face towards an air intake system during installation of a sensor. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainer on 4.BL, 5.3L, and 6.0L V8 engines if equipped and disconnect MAF sensor electrical connector. Loosen three screws for hose clamps and take out air intake duct elbow. Detach air filter housing by removing its three mounting bolts and pull it apart with maf sensor that will be disconnected after this step is done through removal of mounting bolts that were holding them together. Disconnect electrical connector from MAF Sensor for 2018 and later 4.3L V6 engines. Removal can help in eliminating any chance of damaging other parts while trying to remove it since one can unscrew using side mount screws located on outer body of your car's engine intake system at right hand side as shown in diagram above then pull out gently using same direction as when fixing it in place before pulling down slowly until part is free enough squeeze fingers around edge slightly holding top down tightly until finally let go altogether without any force necessary but just letting it loose falls off completely ensuring all items are intact inside still however making sure anything does not fall over accordingly checking tightness nice firm fit unlike some components perhaps which may come loose during movement between changing positions so require constant adjustment tightened securely.
