How do you remove the Pressure sensor for Chevrolet Impala and Monte Carlo? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the air filter housing, start by unplugging the electrical connector from the sensor. Then, unscrew the sensor from the Schrader valve, making sure to use a back-up wrench on the fitting to prevent any damage to the refrigerant line. For installation, begin by lubricating the switch O-ring with clean refrigerant oil of the correct type. Next, screw the new switch onto the threads until hand tight and then tighten it securely. Q:
Does this part 52458184 fit the high side AC service port in place of the plastic cap to stop a small leak in the original service port. The rubber ball is not serviceable in the original line. Does this valve now become the new high side service port? Posted by Customer: 2002 Light Truck Silverado / Sierra - 03, 43, 53 Bodystyle (4WD / AWD)
    A:
YES PART # 52458184 IS THE SERVICE FITTING FOR THE A/C LINE. MOST OF THE TIME YOU CAN REPLACE IT WITH NO PROBLEMS. I HAVE SEEN TECHNICIANS FAIL TO REMOVE OLD FITTING BECAUSE THE FITTING AND LINE ARE BOTH ALUMINUM AND CAN BECOME SEIZED. IN THAT SITUATION YOU MAY HAVE TO PURCHASE THE A/C LINE PART#19210875 WHICH WILL INCLUDE SERVICE FITTINGS AND ORFICE TUBE AS WELL.
