Pull over the car with the front wheels set to the forward most direction then remove the cable from the batteries negative terminal. Rotate the steering wheel counterclockwise to get to the hole in the backside of the steering wheel then using a screw driver some lift the spring clip that retains the airbag module by pinning it. Remove the Air bag module and pull off the electrical connection of the Air bag. Align the steering wheel with the hood, while making sure not to twist steerings shaft to avoid putting an excessive pressure on the clock spring that connects the wiring harness to the air bag module. Disconnect the wires of the horn by pressing the electrical connector on and twisting it anti-clockwise. Locate the relationship of the steering wheel to the steering shaft, loosen the nut of the steering wheel, use the puller to remove it without any hammering that may harm the column. If the clockspring has to be replaced, then the various steps involved in their removal, centering and installation need to be followed. Before setting the steering wheel, check that the airbag clock spring is position correctly; if it is not, then remove the outer and inner steering column covers, the snap ring, and then place the clockspring off the steering column. To center the clockspring, the clockspring has to be turned over, the lock lever has to be pressed and the hub must be rotated in the direction of the arrow until the clockspring stops and then 2-1/2 turns counter clockwise until the arrows on the front of the clockspring are aligned. This will free the lock lever, reinserts the clockspring and snap-ring, fastens the wiring harness, and replaces the steering column covers. Screw the steering wheel on the steering shaft and bring the two marks together, tighten the nut of the steering wheel. Connect the horn wire by plugging it and pushing it down then you twist it to the right for it to be locked. Last of all, fit the airbag connector to the rear of the airbag module, and make sure the lock engages then; properly place the airbag module at the back of the steering wheel, applying pressure on the connectors to the spring clips.
