    Q:
How do you remove the rear springs? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the rear springs, start by loosening the lug nuts on the rear wheels. Then, raise the rear of the vehicle and secure it with jackstands. Block the front wheels to prevent rolling. Remove the rear wheels. Support the rear axle housing with a floor jack placed under the differential and raise it slightly. Disconnect the lower ends of the shock absorbers from the axle housing. Slowly lower the floor jack until the coil springs are fully extended, then remove the springs and insulators. Check the condition of the insulators and replace them if necessary. To install the springs, place them and the insulators on the axle and raise the axle until the springs engage with their upper mounts. It may be helpful to have an assistant for this step. Continue raising the axle until the shock absorbers can be connected to the axle housing. Install the bolts and nuts, tightening them to the specified torque. Finally, install the wheels and lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque.
