    Q:
How do you remove the Coil Springs? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the coil spring and jounce bumper, start by loosening the wheel lug nuts and raising the vehicle on jackstands. Support the lower control arm with a floor jack and disconnect the stabilizer bar link on 2016 and later models. Remove the shock absorber lower mounting nut and bolt, as well as the lower control arm-to-knuckle nut and bolt and the upper control arm-to-lower control arm link bolt. Lower the floor jack slowly to fully extend the coil spring and remove it along with the jounce bumper from the suspension arms. Inspect the spring seats and jounce bumper for wear and damage, replacing them if necessary. Check the coil spring for any nicks or cracks. To install, reverse the removal steps and replace all fasteners with new ones. Use the floor jack to raise the lower control arm to simulate normal ride height and tighten all fasteners to the proper torque specifications. Finally, install the wheel and lug nuts and lower the vehicle, tightening the lug nuts to the proper torque.
