    Q:
How do you remove and reinstall a speakers on Chevrolet Beretta? Posted by Customer
    A:
Caution is advised for models equipped with a Delco Loe II or Theft lock audio system, ensuring the lockout feature is disabled before disconnecting the battery. Some audio systems include the Delco Loe II anti-theft feature, allowing the owner to program an access code that scrambles if the radio loses battery power, making it inoperative. It is essential to know the access code before disconnecting the battery or removing the radio, as it must be entered after reconnection. The radio can be unlocked by entering the access code prior to disconnection, indicated by a momentary display change. If the access code is unknown or reactivation issues arise, the dealer service department should be consulted. For radio removal, carefully pry off the trim plate, remove knobs and heater control switches, and unscrew the radio mounting screws. Pull the radio from the dash, remove the ash tray assembly, and unplug the antenna, speaker, power, and ground connectors. The radio and heater control assembly can be removed as a single unit, followed by detaching the radio. Installation follows the reverse order. For dashboard speakers, pry off the cover, remove mounting screws, lift the speaker out, unplug the connector, and remove it, with installation reversing the process. For rear speakers, open the trunk, locate the speakers on the package tray, remove the retaining clip, lower the enclosure, unscrew the speaker, unplug the connector, and reinstall by reversing the steps.
