    Q:
How do you remove and install the radio and speakers on Saturn LS1? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the radio ,first you have to remove the center trim panel and then the radio mounting screws are to be unscrewed and the radio is pulled out of the dash. Remove electrical connectors, the antenna cable and the ground strap from the back of the radio but do not completely remove the radio. To gain access to the front door speakers, first, remove the front door pull handle, then disconnect the electrical connector from the tweeter - to do this, pry the two locking tangs apart slightly and pull the tweeter out. Got to be the simplest process to explain particularly owing to the fact that it is the opposite of removal. To disassemble the lower front door speakers, take off the front door trim panel and turn the screws that are attached to the speaker; pull out the speaker and detach the electrical connector. The process of installation is just the opposite. For the upper rear door speakers, there is a rear door pull handle which must be unlocked then the electrical connector to the tweeter removed and to ultimately pull the tweeter out pulling at the two locking tangs. Installation, on the other hand, is done in a reverse sequence. To take out the lower rear door speakers, first customers have to take off the rear door trim panel, after that unscrew the speakers, then pull the speakers and disconnect the electrical connector and then take out the speakers. The installation, on the contrary, is the one I've just described. For rear speakers which also could be subs in some models the process of sedans is even easier - you have to take off the rear window shelf to see and get to the subwoofer mounting screws, then just pull out the subwoofer and disconnect the electrical connector. Installation is the reverse. In station wagons, you'll have to unscrew the subwoofer mounting bolts, taken off the subwoofer grille, and disconnected the electrical connector that is involved; to install, the process is the reverse one.
