    How do you remove and reinstall the slave cylinder and clutch release lever on Pontiac Fiero? Posted by Customer

    To remove the slave cylinder, the two mounting nuts on the back of the mounting bracket should be cancelled, and the slave cylinder be parted with set while still connected to the hydraulic line. The following is to put matching marks on the clutch fork and the transaxle case for easy alignment when reinstalling them. Subsequently, loosen the bolt or nut which holds the clutch fork and then unbolt or unscrew the fork from the transaxle clutch fork shaft. For reassembly, position the clutch fork back to the transaxle clutch fork shaft and torque the clutch fork fasten bolt/nut to the required torque strene. Subsequently, align the slave cylinder on the mounting bracket and adjust the pushrod to fit in the clutch fork and after that, finally, tighten the mounting nuts for the clutch slave cylinder to the required torque setting.
