To remove the rear Sway Bar Kit follow the steps below; Loosen the rear wheel lug nuts, The car should then be raised at the rear with jackstands and the front wheels blocked in position to prevent any movement. Next, remove the nuts of Sway Bar Link from lower control arm and Sway Bar Kit, use Allen wrench to lock the ball stud if it rotates along with the nut. On 2008 and later models, lift the rear of the vehicle with a jack, take out the muffler hangers to support the rear mufflers and lower the rear exhaust. Next, locate and take out the Sway Bar bracket bolts after which you will have to slide the bar out from under the exhaust and the body. Also, with the Sway Bar Kit removed, remove the Sway Bar Bushing and check for signs of cracks or wear and if so then replace the bushings. Rinse the bushing area of the Sway Bar Kit with a stiff wire brush to have clean bushing area from rust or dirt. In the case of fitting the new bushing, it should be lubricated with the vegetable oil on the inner as well as outer side of the bushing and must with the slits placed at the front side of the vehicle as described in the reverse order of removal, tighten all the fasteners to the standard recommended torque values.

To detach the stabilizer bar links, use a wrench to hold the ballstud if it turns with the nut.
