    Q:
How do I remove and install a radiator and coolant reservoir tank? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the radiator, start by disconnecting the battery cable at the negative terminal and draining the cooling system. Then, remove the air intake duct and upper fan shroud. If there is an automatic transmission or engine oil cooler, carefully remove the cooler lines from the radiator, plugging the ends to prevent leakage and dirt from entering. Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses and remove the lower fan shroud. Finally, pull the radiator straight up and out. For installation, replace any damaged hose clamps and radiator hoses before installing the radiator. If there have been leaks or cooling problems, have the radiator cleaned and tested. Installation is the reverse of removal, using new spring clips on oil cooler connections if necessary. After installation, fill the system with the proper antifreeze mixture and check the automatic transmission fluid level if applicable. To remove the coolant reservoir, remove the PCM from the top of the tank on Blazer and Jimmy models, or access the tank directly on some pickup models. Remove the overflow hose and mounting nuts, then remove the tank. Prior to installation, ensure the reservoir is clean and free of debris by washing it with soapy water and a brush if needed. Installation is the reverse of removal.
