Here are the steps to attempting to remove and install the front window on the 199D-93 Deville and Fleetwood. Firstly, one should try and take out the door panel and water deflector, then remove the upper retainer and inflexible inner belt sealing strip. Remove the front run channel screws, and pull the run channel down, take the rear run channel guide and pull it off, and to remove the glass, do it on the outboard side. For the installation, tighten the screws of the front run channel and install the front run channel and screws loosely, lower the glass into the door, attach the front guide to the rear run channel and adjust the glass and fix the strip of the inner belt sealing and the retainer and the wedge water shield and the door panel. For the rear window, remove the door panel and water deflector, while supporting the glass remove the sash bolts, to release the rear run guide channel, unscrew the vent glass retaining screws, and then take the glass out from the interior. For disassembly, remove the water deflector and door panel, unscrew the sash bolts, remove the guide, unscrew the vent glass retaining screws and take the glass back out from the inboard side. The front door window regulator requires the door panel and water deflector to be pulled out, the rivets at the regulator and the door have to be drilled out, lock actuator linkage has to be detached, and the regulator guide and block assembly have to be detached. Unplug the wiring connector then pull the regulator through the access hole, then remove the rivets to module hold the door, and pull out the module. In regards to its installation, the regulator has to be inserted through the access hole, followed by the guide and block assembly, connection of wires, and finally the regulator and module has to be riveted. Lastly examine the opening of the window so replace the water deflector together with the door panel. The procedure for the rear window regulator is quite the same, where the door panel and water deflector have to be first removed, and the window has to be taped in the full up position before the rivets can be drilled out. Pull off the sash bolts and the wiring connector, then fit the pipes and rivet the new regulator; replace the water deflector and the door panel as well. For the 199D-91 Eldorado and Seville, the guides are bonded to the glass and not serviceable; remove the door panel together with the sound absorber pad and water deflector, followed by the inner belt sealing strip and the front run channel retainer. Lower the glass down to eliminate the rollers and guides and then take off the glass from the door. For installation, insert the glass, operate the roller mechanism and fix the retainer of the run channel. The same procedure is followed for the front and the rear window on the Seville as well as on the Deville; ensure the correct alignment is used on all parts and ensure all fragments are secured tightly. The window regulator is integrated into the door lock module and if replacement is required, the correct removal and fitting procedures should be followed.
