    Q:
How to remove and install Fuel Injector and Fuel Rail for Cadillac CTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
It is important to observe specified stages when performing fuel system maintenance on different engine models. For example, before any work, relieve fuel system pressure and disconnect the negative battery terminal. The procedures depend on the kind of engine: you remove upper intake manifold when dealing with 3.2L V6 engine, disconnect electrical connectors from fuel injectors, detach vent hose, take off fuel rail support bolt and extract the fuel rail with injectors as a unit; similarly for 2.8L and 2004-2009 3.6L V6 engines you disconnect injector connectors, take out fuel rail mounting bolts and the like to remove fuel rail and injectors simultaneously; whereas for 3.0L and 2008-later 3.6L V6 engines you remove intake manifold, foam insulator, fuel pressure sensor, high-pressure fuel line and this off remove fuel rails and then injectors in sequence. In addition replace O-rings on these injectors Teflon seals should be done using special tools or an alternative method that does not employ any specific tooling. Finally reinstall injectors as well as fuel rail ensuring proper seating and tightening them secure enough. For 5.7L and 6.0L V8 engines clean around them or else disconnect wiring leading to it then remove bolts holding it there upon which one takes out O-rings for replacement before re-insertion.Likewise in case of six point two liter cubic capacity engine just cut the return flow inlet tube parts after removing covers over intake manifolds then unplug some linkages followed by disengaging bolts meant for such rails carefully get rid of damaged ones instead of their O-rings on them only during installation process backwards.Connect the negative battery terminal back making sure that you start its respective pump activating afterwards inspect lines' leaks from fuels in rails together with their other relevant parts.

    Q:
How to remove fuel injectors and Fuel Rail on Chevrolet Corvette? Posted by Customer
    A:
We shall remove the fuel injectors by first of all reducing the pressure within the system and cutting off the cable from the battery. Detach engine cover(s) and disconnect fuel supply line at fuel rail. On supercharged models, unscrew fasteners that keep manifold attached to the front of charge air cooler and unplug fuel injection electrical connectors, MAP, IAT, supercharger air output sensors connectors, PCV tube and ignition coil electrical connectors. For non-supercharged models, undo electrical connecters for each injector. Clear intake manifold or supercharger where injectors are inserted. Remove fuel rail fasteners as well as fuel rail assemblies. Take off each injector's electrical connector from a supercharged model. Stroke out injector retaining clips backwards so that injectors can be pulled out from a rail of fuels. Tear o-rings away from injectors. Spread clean engine oil on new O-rings then place them over every one of these components in question in those fuel delivery systems' wires. Now put each individual injector into its respective bore where it is mounted in a fuel track while securing with an injecting loop which prevents them against falling down or getting lost somewhere nearby this area after installation has been made which would lead to a fire accident because there were possibilities if any remaining combustible gas escaped through this small opening especially during transportation related activities involving other parts like gasoline tanks containing compressed natural gasses (CNG). Reattach cable back onto negative terminal of battery then switch ignition key to ON position thus activating pump before searching for places where leakage might have happened.
