Carefully lift out the radiator, being careful not to spill coolant or scratch the paint. Clean the radiator and inspect it for leaks or damage. If needed, have it repaired by a professional. To install the radiator, inspect the rubber insulators in the lower crossmember and make sure they're clean and in good condition. Seat the radiator correctly on the insulators and fasten the top brackets. Fill the cooling system with the correct mixture of antifreeze and water. Start the engine, check for leaks, and add more coolant if necessary. If working on an automatic transmission-equipped vehicle, check and add fluid as needed. For ZL1 models, follow the specific removal and installation steps for the charge air cooler radiator, which is a separate system from the engine cooling system.
