    To disassemble the fuel pump/fuel level sensor module, begin by removing it and placing it on a clean workbench surface. Disconnect the fuel level sensor connector at the top of the module and unplug the connector housing from the bottom of the fuel pump cover by disengaging the locking tab with a screwdriver.

    To remove the high-pressure fuel pump, start by relieving the fuel system pressure and disconnecting the electrical connector. Then, disconnect the intake air ducting and remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe for better access. Loosen the fuel line fitting at the injector rail and the inlet/outlet lines at the high-pressure pump. Remove the bracket and fiber pump cover by removing the three bolts. Disconnect the flexible fuel line and remove the metal fuel lines from the high-pressure pump. Finally, remove the old fuel pump mounting bolts and discard them, replacing them with new ones. To install the pump, simply reverse the removal steps. Once everything is in place, start the engine and check for any fuel leaks.
