GM 19179819 Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Kit

Place the fuel pump/fuel level sensor module on a clean table. Then disconnect the electrical connection of the fuel level sensor at its molded-in harness guide and unlink the fuel level sensor connector from the pump module cover. Removing the locking tab raises and slide off the sensor only by sliding it towards you to remove a locking tab that holds it in place. Few things to take note, no more disassembly that can be done on this case with respect to disassembling further on this case of the assembly for fuel pump/fuel level sensor. To fix, simply hear a click sound when sliding into position on top of Fuel Pump Module; then pull gently till locked into position by Sensor Unit. Other than following through these processes in reverse order, installing is quite straightforward.

If the fuel pressure is higher than the specified pressure, the fuel pressure regulator might be stuck closed.

Care should be taken not to damage the fuel inlet strainer, float arm, or float. The float arm should not be bent to maintain accurate fuel level indication.
