Couplings that connect two rotating parts axis at different angles are coupling known as Universal joints or Cardan joints which comprise a yoke either side of the set and connected by a crosspiece called trunnion. Both ends of the trunnion have cups with needle bearings to allow the transfer of torque load without coming in direct contact and are held in place by snap-rings.
