Q:
How to remove the pressure sensor in Chevrolet Cruze? Posted by Customer
A:
The HVAC pressure switch, responsible for detecting low refrigerant line pressure and controlling the compressor, is located at the bottom-right corner of the condenser and mounted to the refrigerant lines. In order to remove it, the front of the vehicle needs to be raised and securely supported on jackstands, followed by the removal of the splash guard between the bumper cover and the subframe. The electrical connector connected to the pressure switch should be disconnected, and then the switch can be unscrewed. For installation, the switch O-ring should be lubricated with clean refrigerant oil before screwing the new switch into place and tightening it securely. Finally, the electrical connector needs to be reconnected, and the remaining steps of installation are the reverse of the removal process.
