How to remove the cable? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the cable, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Then, lift off the engine cover and remove the air cleaner housing to gain access to the TV cable end. Disconnect the cable terminal from the throttle lever by pushing it forward and then off. Push in on the re-adjust tab and move the slider back through the fitting away from the throttle lever. Compress the locking tabs and disconnect the cable assembly from the bracket. Raise the vehicle and secure it on Jackstands. Release the cable from the mounting clips, noting its routing. Remove the screw and washer securing the cable to the transmission, and pull the cable up to disconnect it from the link at the end. For installation, place a new seal in the transmission case hole. Connect the transmission end of the cable to the link and secure it to the transmission case with the screw. Tighten the screw securely. Route the new cable and secure it to the mounting clips. Pass the cable through the bracket and secure it with the locking tabs. Connect the cable terminal to the throttle lever and adjust the cable. Finally, connect the negative battery cable and check for proper operation.

    A:
To inspect the cable, remove the engine cover and have the engine running at idle speed with the selector lever in Neutral. Set the parking brake and block the wheels for safety.
