    Q:
How do you remove the Trailing Arm? Posted by Customer
    A:
To do this, loosen the rear wheel's lug nuts and then lift the vehicle's hind part using jack stands before taking out the trailing arm. Take off the back wheel and note where inner bolt heads or cam adjusters touch the frame. Finally, remove the rearward and forward pivot bolts plus trailing arm. To install it, reverse what was done in removal ensuring that bolt heads or adjuster cams line up with marks. Jack up on floor-mounted jacks to simulate a level plane before tightening down the mount bolts at which point raise outer end of lower control arm as needed for normal ride height. Specify desired torque by uniformly applying tension that will keep the axle from shifting due to sudden tire tread changes; check alignment if necessary after final tightening of bolts. To remove a toe link, proceed similarly. First, release all rear wheel studs but then lift rearward section by putting it on supports for wheels off ground and removing rear wheel. Remove three mounting screws from toe link-body bracket as well as parking brake cable clip from toe link; then take hold of those three knuckle-bolts fastening links on them and elevate respective components away from their position. If you wish, pull out through-bolt thereby disengaging clamp from there completely; however, do not throw disregarded parts away should they be required again during reinstallation procedure reversed except for checking whether wheels have become misaligned subsequently being adjusted accordingly like originally set up adjustable means instead whereby these positions must remain unchanged when disconnecting either stabilizer bar link between lower control arms other than unscrewing linkage bracket situated next above mounting plate behind trailing arms attaching one onto that chassis' frame near their middle like independent suspension bands having pivots about longitudinally aligned axes only just behind outer ends so far down does not make any sense without context since such actions would affect stability quite negatively just like trying lowering bootlid catches new ones screw tighten entire firmly against packed together first. Put a floor jack beneath the outer part of the arm after disconnecting stabilizer bar link off lower control arms and remove trailing arm bracket.
