The lower control arm removal involves disconnecting the stabilizer bar and shock absorber, removing inner lower control arm nuts and bolts, and safely lowering the control arm to relieve spring pressure. The lower control arm is then reinstalled with proper spring orientation, and all nuts and bolts are tightened to specified torque values.

Begin by loosening the front wheel nuts and lift the front of the vehicle using jack stands to remove the upper control arm. If there is need, support the lower control arm on a jack or jackstand while disconnecting wheel speed sensor harness bracket from it. The upper balljoint joint must be released from the steering knuckle, and then undo all bolts and nuts that hold control arm to frame noting down, if any shims were used for alignment purposes. Position this one on a frame and replace bolts/nuts that were installed previously along with those shims removed during disassembly in order to prevent damaging other suspension parts which are connected through these joints.
