    Q:
How do you remove the front shock module and Coil Springs from Chevrolet Trailblazer and Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
To detach the shock module from the vehicle, at first examine for any apparent damages like fluids that are leaking, dents here and there, cracks and coil spring or spring seats damage. If individual components need to be replaced, make sure to check the availability and price of parts or consider a completely rebuilt unit. Next remove the pinch bolt securing the yoke to the shock module and carefully take off the yoke. Use a spring compressor to relieve pressure from the shock absorber then unscrew its nut from top Finally remove upper mounting plate, spring and lower mounting plate. To install the shock module reassemble it by following opposite order of disassembly procedure. Tighten up nut on top of shock absorber to specified torque. Release tension of spring compressor and remove it from spring. Install yoke onto bottom of shock module (pinch bolt/nut tightened) to specified torque. Finally put back into vehicle.
