    Q:
How to replace spark plugs in Chevrolet Beretta? Posted by Customer
    A:
The spark plugs located at the front of the engine on 2.0U2.2L four-cylinder models, and are between the camshaft housings underneath the ignition coil/module assembly on the 2.3L (Quad-4) four-cylinder engine. V6 engines have three plugs at the front and three at the rear side of the engine. To replace them you will need a spark plug socket, various extensions, a gap gauge and a torque wrench. Aluminum cylinder head damage can be prevented during removal or installation of spark plugs if you allow for cooling down of an engine. Purchase the right type of plug for your engine and adjust its gaps as necessary. Check that there are no faults with new plugs and use wire type gauges to close up any gaps detected in them. Remove one wire from each plug without pulling on it directly. Any debris may be blown out by using compressed air or a bicycle pump through the spark plug hole. The old plug should be removed counterclockwise with a spark plug socket. Understand running condition of engine by comparing old plug used on it with others in case of more than one cylinder plugs replacements being needed together). Thread that hole again so that it is tightened with reference to its torque specifications using either a torque wrench or ratchet, placing new plug in place hitherto occupied by the old one; after that twisting tube should be made until seated well (Zaloga 2015). This is essential because; you need to do this after attaching the twisted wires into new plug just seated inside position where other ones were located previously (Zaloga 2015). The remaining wires should be repeated for all other spark plugs, one after another.

    Q:
What tools and steps are needed to replace spark plugs on Chevrolet Blazer,S10,GMC Jimmy and Sonoma? Posted by Customer
    A:
The engine's side contains the spark plugs. In order to replace them, you will need a socket for spark plugs, various extensions, gauge for the gap, tool removing wires of the plug and torque wrench. Instead it is more advisable to purchase the new plugs earlier, align them to their desirable gap and change them one at a time. The right type of plug must be obtained that suits to your engine; this information is indicated in the Emission Control Information label found under engine hood. You should give room for cooling off before attempting to remove any plug(s). Meanwhile inspecting new plugs for malfunction and readjust gaps is proper. For removal of spark plug wire from one particular place just pull on the boot while noting that other parts should not be touched by hand. Spark plug holes are dirt-free with air compressors available or using bicycle pumps as alternatives. A socket extension will be necessary since reachability of spark plugs is difficult most times. By turning it anticlockwise will remove plug. Comparing an old one with chart can provide some understanding about engine's condition during operation period. Put anti-seize compound lightly on threads of brand new one and then screw it tightly into that hole with fingers only or use suitable spanner if needed. With a ratchet or torque wrench make it snugly tight after all has been done properly before you attach this second latest piece yank out first and turn around so they are seated properly Attach wire by twisting it until it sits straight down onto top part of each cylinder head Make sure not to mix up wires during replacement process where you'll take out individual ones.
