To remove the Sway Bar Kit, first apply the parking brake, raise the front of the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands. For Samurai models, detach the Sway Bar Kit by removing the bolts connecting it to the leaf spring plate and the bracket bolts, then pull off the brackets and inspect the bushings for any damage, replacing them if necessary. For Sidekick and Tracker models, check for alignment paint marks on the bushings before removal; if absent, mark them to assist with centering during reinstallation. Remove the Sway Bar Kit ball joint from the front suspension lower arms, noting the arrangement of spacers, washers, and bushings, and then detach the bar from the vehicle. For installation on Samurai models, position the bushings on the bar with slits facing upward, attach the brackets, and raise the bar to the frame, installing the bracket bolts without fully tightening them. Next, install the Sway Bar Kit-to-lower control arm components and securely tighten the nuts before finally tightening the bracket bolts. For Sidekick/X-90/Nitara/Tracker models, position the bushings with slits facing the front and align them with the previously made marks, then follow the same procedure for attaching the brackets and installing the Sway Bar Kit ball joint.
