    Q:
How to replace the oxygen sensor on Chevrolet Tracker? Posted by Customer
    A:
According to the Maintenance Schedule, it is recommended that the oxygen sensor used on 1986 Samurai models should be replaced. The sensor has threads which are connected to the exhaust manifold and has wires attached to it. One needs to unthread the sensor from the exhaust manifold after disconnecting the wire. It involves removing a wire harness and removing a sensor by unscrewing it out from a manifold. The threads should be coated with an anti-seize compound before putting it in the manifold. After torqueing tighten, hook back up the wire harness. You will need a special oxygen sensor socket for this job which can be purchased at most auto parts stores.
