    Q:
How do you remove the fuel rail sensor for Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
First, you will need to relieve fuel system pressure and disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal in order to remove the fuel rail sensor. The intake manifold should then be removed and an electrical connector unplugged to gain access to the sensor. As a final step on this, unscrew it from a fuel rail. A reverse of removal is installation, with retightening of the sensor to specified torque. To remove a fuel feed pipe sensor at 2015 or prior models, raise and support rear of vehicle using jack stands; remove protective cover from fuel tank; disconnect electrical connector and unscrew it out of feeding line. Reverse operations serve as fitting procedure. In case of 2016 and further models, take off your gas tank while replacing both fuel pressure sensor and feed pipe together as one unit and unplug electric connection for your former type first; Then by doing same "removal" only backwards again after replacement process are carried out in other words hence installation means same.
