Take off the accessory panel and the water shield of the door. With the curved tool remove the molding pieces on the upper part of the door, there are two pieces of it. The glass mounting screws are in the bottom and have to be taken out, with the window down first, then lifting the glass out from the top of the door. Again lift the glass slowly in the upward motion and slightly turn it so as to remove the channel. Next, the Window Regulator mounting screws are to be unscrewed and the Window Regulator to be taken off through the larger access hole, in case of Sidekick/X-90/Vitara as well as Tracker models. When installing the Window Regulator and guide channel, be sure and use a light coat of lithium-based grease on all slide areas. In the case of installation, the process should be done in the reverse of the removal process. After installation of the window, pull up the window fully, and ensure it fits properly into the channel. The angle of the window can be switched by unscrewing the Window Regulator retaining screws and then sliding the glass so that the top edge is in line with that of the door, before screws are tightened again. In order to find the right position of the glass when the window is in the fore and aft position, turn the Window Regulator retaining screws and ensure that the rear edge of the glass and the upper rear corner fits well on the rubber of the door frame before tightening the retaining screws.
