On the 2016 and later models, the manufacturer has set down procedures on how to pre-load the clutch pressure plate using special tool #DT-6263 in order to assess some degrees of movement of the clutch disc and then some values to be kept on record in the process of installing a new clutch disc. To gain access to clutch components it is necessary to have transaxle out while the engine remains in the car; if the engine is being pulled for major overhaul, check the clutch, it is wise to replace the clutch even if it looks worn because by the time the transaxle is pulled out again, the clutch assembly will be much more expensive than the set of new clutch parts. Tightening of the pressure plate-to-flywheel bolts must be done in a sequence by tightening in an 'X' formation to prevent the bending of the flywheel or over-tightening of the pressure plate and that alignment tool should be removed after confirmation of proper centering of the clutch disc. Last of all, one should fit the clutch release cylinder, and then it is necessary to refit the transaxle, as well as all components which have been removed.
