How to check the operation of the fuel pump? Posted by Customer
    A:
To check the fuel pump, sit in the vehicle with windows closed and turn ignition key to ON. Listen for pump sound as it pressurizes fuel system. If no sound, remove fuel filler cap and have assistant turn ignition switch to ON while you listen. Check fuse, relay, wiring, and replace pump if necessary. Connect fuel pressure gauge to test port on fuel feed line and start engine. Compare gauge reading to specifications. If pressure is low, check filter, lines, and hoses for issues. Replace fuel pump module if regulator is stuck open.
