Front and rear bumpers on all models utilize a plastic fascia panel over a metal impact bar. For the front bumper, begin by disconnecting the electrical connectors at the fog lights if equipped, and remove the grille. If replacing the fascia, detach it from the bumper by removing the pushpins; for simultaneous removal of both the fascia and bumper, it is easier to take them off as an assembly. Pull the fascia forward off the body, noting that on XTREME models, the upper center is secured with adhesive tape that can be softened with a heat gun for easier separation. With assistance, support the impact bar while unbolting it from the frame, removing the bolts on each side. Disconnect any wiring harnesses or components that may obstruct bumper removal and detach the bumper. Installation follows the reverse order of removal, ensuring to tighten the retaining bolts to the specified torque, and for XTREME models, clean off any adhesive and use double-sided tape for securing the fascia. For the rear bumper, disconnect the license plate light connector, and on Canyon and XTREME models, remove the step pads with a flat-bladed plastic tool, followed by the pushpins from the fascia panel. Next, remove the screws securing each end of the fascia panel under the bumper, and if applicable, pull the fascia until any adhesive strips release. Remove two impact bar retaining bolts from each side, and with assistance, take off the remaining bolts and the impact bar. Reinstallation is the reverse of removal, ensuring to tighten the bolts to the specified torque, and for models with adhesive strips, scrape off the old strips, clean the areas with alcohol, and apply new adhesive strips before attaching the fascia.

If replacing the fascia, detach it from the bumper by removing the pushpins. For simultaneous removal of both the fascia and bumper, it is easier to take them off as an assembly.
