On models equipped with a Delco Loc II anti-theft audio system, ensure the lockout feature is turned off before performing any procedure which requires disconnecting the battery. Begin by disconnecting the negative cable at the battery. To remove the wiper arm, raise the blade off the rear glass. Insert a 0.125-inch drill bit, or metal rod, into the arm access hole to release the locking device and remove the arm. Remove the washer hose from the arm. Proceed to remove the wiper motor cover retainers and cover. Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector. Remove the wiper motor mounting bolt, washer, spacer and nut. Remove the wiper motor and retainer from the rear glass. Installation is the reverse of removal.

On models equipped with a Delco Loc II anti-theft audio system, caution must be taken to ensure the lockout feature has been turned off before any procedure involving the disconnection of the battery is commenced. The first thing is to disconnect the negative cable at the battery. Then, flip up latch, remove nut and detach wiper arm by removing windshield wiper arms. Thereafter, lift up cowl vent grille and remove cowl vent grille retaining screws. Disconnect linkage from wiper motor crank arm at this point. Remember: do not remove nut and crank arm from motor shaft. Afterward, undo wiper motor mounting bolts. Finally, unplug the electrical connector on wiper motor and separate motor from mounting bracket. Installation is opposite of removal.
