Upon deciding that you need to replace your windshield wiper motor and linkage assembly here is how to do it, You have to first take out the windshield wiper trim caps then remove the retaining nuts. Take time to note the alignment of the wiper arm to the shaft prior to removal of the arms. Then remove the cowl cover and then unplug the electrical connection from the windshield wiper motor. Take out the motor and linkage assembly and then turn your attention to the cowl area and you will end up removing the mounting bolts for the motor and linkage assembly. Remove the nut and the bolt holding the linkage arm to the motor; three bolts holding the motor can also be removed to pull it out. For the rear wiper, using a trim tool or a small screwdriver is very useful in removing the trim cap since it is clipped to the car's body and then pull out the nut making a direct extraction of the wiper arm from the spindle. Pull the trim panel of the rear liftgate to gain access to the electrical connector of the motor and to also remove the mounting bolts to pull down the wiper motor of the liftgate.
